June lives on Russell Island, a small island off the coast of Redland Bay in Queensland Australia, just 40km from Brisbane by road and 20 minute modern ferry ride. Possibly the world best kept secret on where to settle.

It is an ideal place, sub tropical climate, overlooking Stradbroke Island, pleasure craft & fishing boats passing or stopping to fish in the calm protected waters below. The islands are a favourite place for artistic people to call home, maybe it's something in the water.

After 10 years on the Island moved back to the real world of The Mainland in 2017, back closer to family.

Swapped this outlook for the inside of a suburban boundary fence. Had to consider all the sensible things for retiement. Security, Family & Access to things like hospitals etc.  

All I had to make sure of was, to have access to a sewing & craft room. Learn about the Internet, instead of Bear Shows in person.
